Update Service Pro is a program from Sony Ericsson for retailers. It is used for updating Sony Ericsson phones´ firmware. Update Service Pro is free, but it is meant to be used by retailers who sell Sony Ericsson phones. Thus, the program itself can be downloaded for free, but you have to enter the details of the retailer.
Apart from that, this program works just as its non-pro version. The phone model is selected from the list which shows the images of all models of Sony Ericsson phones. When a phone is connected via a Sony Ericsson data cable, compatible with that model of the phone, the program searches for available updates of firmware of the selected model and updates the phone. Updated firmware usually has many additional features like themes, ringtones and bugfixes.
It´s usually recommended to regularly update the software of your phone for better performance. It is also recommended that every customer keeps a backup of his personal data, like contacts, calendar entries, music, etc. - since the phone gets formatted during updating. This program is great for retailers, but after every successful update process it must be restarted for a new task, which is highly time consuming. |
